Yappy Hour at the Oyster Bay Yacht Club
Join us for Yappy Hour at the Oyster Bay Yacht Club, Thursday November 3rd from 6-8pm at the Oyster Deck.
Yappy Hour is a great opportunity to meet other dog lovers and to socialize your pet. We accept donations at each Yappy Hour for RAIN (Rescuing Animals in Nassau).
We are a pet loving community here on Amelia Island and Nassau County Florida. Besides several Humane Societies there are a number of other pet adoption and rescue organizations such as Cat’s Angels , Meemaw’s Place , Stars of Amelia, and many more that do fabulous work and need our attention and charity.
RAIN was founded in 2007 by Lynda Mixon and is based on many of the Best Friends’ key principles and concepts including No More Homeless Pets. She says she “got hooked” on Best Friends in 2001 after seeing the organization featured on a TV program. She and her family have since visited the Sanctuary three times.Read more

We just published the October Club Chatter Newsletter. Click here to find out what we have planned for the Florida – Georgia Game. Learn about some personnel changes and administrative procedures we are implementing. For example we would like to introduce paperless monthly statement, but we would like to invite Club Members for their input and questions before implementing.
There is also a new October Event Calendar posted with the activities you can expect at the Clubhouse. Make sure to mark down the Thrill of the Grill, planned for the run-up to the Florida Georgia Game on Friday October 28 and the Game Day Special for Saturday October 29.
