When Marc Footlik of Oyster Bay Island Homes first set eyes on Oyster Bay Harbour, he immediately knew it was a special place. A place that he and his partners, over the next few years, would work very hard to develop, build and carefully preserve to bring out its full beauty, charm and history so that the people who purchase property here will feel proud to call it home.
This historic and authentic Southern plantation, with its moss draped oaks that frame the marsh literally looks like a setting from a romance novel.
Mr. Footlik directed the development of large-scale, master-planned residential communities like Bridlewood, The Preserve at Pecan Creek and Chadwick Farms, all located in the Dallas metropolitan area. In addition, the company developed and manages over 900 residential apartment units, retail shopping centers and mid-rise office buildings.
Marc has worked with over 20 different homebuilders – both national and local custom builders.
Recently, the infrastructural finishes were done for the final development of Contessa Island which connects the Waterway Oaks residential areas to the Yachtclub and Marina. Mr. Footlik’s vision on living in comfort with the surrounding nature is reflected in the cottage and villa designs, as well as the precise way roads and roundabouts have been adapted to scale and nature preservation.
